Zipline Korea, Inc. Sets Goal to Become RCI Distributor

Allegan, Mich. June 11, 2019 — The international division of Ropes Courses Incorporated (RCI) may soon add another company to its expanding network of worldwide distributors. The company under consideration is Zipline Korea, Inc., a pioneer in the zipline industry for the asian country. A successful completion of the required RCI trial period, which lasts an average of 1 year, will give Zipline Korea, Inc. the title of RCI Authorized Distributor and allow the company to sell RCI adventure products to customers throughout their designated region.

Operating in Seoul, Zipline Korea, Inc. is the first and largest zipline company in Korea and has over 10 years of experience installing more than 80 zipline courses under contract with local governments. Their core market of camps, community centers, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts and more, allows Zipline Korea, Inc. to understand the true needs and wishes of their customers. In addition, their knowledge and credentials earned through being a longtime member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) keeps them up to date on the inner workings of the industry.

“In Korea, there is a great interest when it comes to adventure facilities and the family-friendly products that go inside of these types of businesses,” said Jeff Jung, president and CEO of Zipline Korea, Inc. “As a Professional Vendor Member of the ACCT, we are well versed in the standards and policies set by the industry and are confident in our ability to provide quality adventure products, be they RCI products in the future.”

Zipline Korea, Inc. is one of 42 Professional Vendor Members recognized in the world by the ACCT with only 7 other companies awarded the title in Asia alone.

The entire trial period set in place by RCI consists of approximately 6-12 months and in that timeframe prospective distributors develop specific regional markets and successfully complete 2 or more projects. The title of “RCI Global Partner” is also given to those in the trial period to help aid their company while in the process of making sales. Allocating this amount of time gives both RCI and the company being evaluated the opportunity to learn about each other’s capabilities, establish trust and evaluate the sales potential for RCI products in the local market.

“Becoming a distributor for RCI is not easy and requires companies in question have the necessary experience, customer base and overall reach,” said Jon Weston, chief sales officer for RCI. “We see great potential in Zipline Korea, Inc. and believe that they have the know- how of their local markets that is required to be successful appointed distributors of RCI adventure products.”

Zipline Korea, Inc. and RCI currently have three projects planned for 2019.
