Allegan, Mich. June 26, 2019 — A cold weather favorite, Big Bear Snow Play, has chosen to add a Sky Trail® aerial attraction to their lineup of activities and the structure will wrap up construction as well as subsequently open to the public within the next week. Located in the southern California city of Big Bear Lake, the popular snow tubing destination is best known for its winter-related family fun though the facility also features a go-kart track that can be enjoyed by patrons in warmer weather. Additional entertainment in the form of a 9 pole, 2 level Sky Trail® with an integrated 80 foot (24.4 meters) curved Sky Rail™ will soon be available to guests of all ages courtesy of Ropes Courses Incorporated (RCI).
The desire to expand upon the all-season offerings at Big Bear Snow Play was ultimately what led the business to pursue the addition of the Sky Trail®. Standing tall at a total height of 36 feet (11 meters), the new attraction consists of over 30 elements like cargo nets, a variety of bridges and swinging steps for participants to make their way across at whatever pace is most comfortable. For the more daring participants, there is also a Walk the Plank element where individuals can step out onto a six-inch wide beam without the use of handrails to test their bravery and wave to friends or family below.
“This attraction will not only keep our guests entertained and challenged but it will also allow our facility to diversify its outdoor offerings by providing all season recreation for the whole family,” explained Scott Voigt, director of operations for Big Bear Snow Play.
Outfitted with a natural color scheme to match Big Bear’s forest-filled backdrop, the Sky Trail® attraction will be located in its own area near the go-kart track and will remain open year-round.
“We feel the Sky Trail® is an overall good fit for Big Bear Snow Play and every guest is bound to enjoy the attraction whether they be local or visiting from outside the area. It’s a fantastic way to entertain while also keeping everyone safe thanks to the high safety standards put forth by RCI,” added Voigt.
Tickets for the Sky Trail® will be $12 per person. More information about Big Bear Snow Play can be found by visiting www.bigbearsnowplay.com or calling (909) 585-0075.
