Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Bavarian Blast Waterpark

Bavarian Blast Indoor Waterpark officially open!

RCI Adventure Products installed an indoor ropes course and climbing walls inside the newly renovated family entertainment center

FRANKENMUTH – To kick-off summer the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the newly constructed Bavarian Blast Waterpark in Frankenmuth, MI.

RCI Adventure Products was on hand to celebrate the occasion with the Zehnder family and the rest of the Frankenmuth business community. As part of the project, RCI designed, manufactured and installed the tallest indoor ropes course in Michigan, a 3-level Sky Trail® course complete with a Sky Rail® and three Clip ‘n Climb® climbing walls. 

Family-First Destination in Michigan

The Bavarian Inn has long been a family destination hotspot in Michigan as it featured indoor waterslides, multiple pools, an arcade, indoor mini golf, restaurants and other family-centered entertainment options. It’s also within easy walking distance of Frankenmuth’s popular downtown shopping district.

In December of 2023, the Bavarian Inn broke ground on a 140,000 square-foot expansion that included renovations to some of the inn’s existing spaces, as well as the addition of the Bavarian Blast Waterpark. The indoor waterpark includes 16 waterslides, a giant wave pool, a swim-up bar, private cabanas and an lazy river.

Tallest Indoor Ropes Course in Michigan

The December of 2024, the Bavarian Inn opened its newly renovated indoor family entertainment center that features a 3-level Sky Trail® ropes course made by RCI Adventure Products. The adventure course, branded Jacob’s High Flying Adventure, features 24 different obstacles and a 90-foot Sky Rail® that sends guests on a fun, smooth ride around the parameter of the course.

In addition to the ropes course, RCI installed 3 climbing walls that sit adjacent to the course.

Bavarian Blast Ribbon Cutting

RCI’s team had the pleasure of working closely with the Zehnder family and the Bavarian Inn team on this project. Many hands across the company helped make the new ropes course and climbing walls possible. We were excited to join the rest of the Frankenmuth community in early May for an official ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by the chamber of commerce, to celebrate the grand opening of the Bavarian Blast Waterpark!
