RCI Adventure Products published an updated full-line product catalog last fall and it’s available for download.
RCI is the leading manufacturer of ropes courses, ziplines and other adventure attractions. We’re constantly developing new and thrilling adventure experiences for the whole family to enjoy including mazes, climbing walls and net-play adventure courses.
The new edition features updated ropes course designs, capacity data and images from recent ropes course installations. RCI Adventure Products designs, builds and installs approximately 40 ropes courses every year and we have hundreds of ropes courses all around the world.
Custom Ropes Course Design
When we’re speaking with a potential client about a ropes course, we always note that we’ll develop a custom ropes course design tailored specifically for their needs. Each building or property presents unique challenges and opportunities. Our design team will create a course layout that maximizes the facility’s footprint.
The ropes course designs in the catalog present us with a starting point, but we always note that most courses are unique. Not only can the course design be one-of-a-kind, but our customers have the opportunity to design ropes course elements with their own company brands and signage.
Ropes Course Expansion
One of the benefits of an RCI ropes course is the potential for future expansion to the course. RCI has been in business for over 30 years and in that time we’ve helped small courses become large-scale attractions with the addition of Sky Rail® ziplines.
For courses confined in tighter spaces, where large-scale expansion is not possible, we offer curved elements and single-pole elements that take advantage of the course’s existing layout without requiring additional poles. The Curved Roller Rail and Floating Ring are two fun and challenging expansion elements.
Increasing Popular: Sky Tour® zipline experience
Natural Bridge Caverns near San Antonio, Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Pecan Lake Entertainment outside of Phoenix and Laguna’s Beach Bar and Grill in Pensacola Beach feature one of our latest product innovations, Sky Tour®.
Sky Tour® is a safe, thrilling point-to-point zipline excursion that can traverse over water, building, other attractions, wooded areas and parking lots. Sky Tour® integrates seamlessly into a Sky Trail® ropes course and gives our customers another attraction to market to their customers.
Without the need of additional equipment or staff support, participants on a Sky Trail® ropes course can move onto a Sky Tour® course and enjoy modern, safe zipline experience.
All zip rails are computer controlled which keeps guests safe, keeps participant traffic flowing and minimizes on-course staffing.
New Product Rollout: Adventure Tykes™
RCI Adventure Products was thrilled to introduce Adventure Tykes™ in 2024, an unharnessed net-play ropes course designed for kids aged four and under. RCI install crews already installed a couple Adventure Tyke™ courses for customers who had an existing Sky Tykes® course.
One of the benefits of Adventure Tykes™ is that it can utilize the same footprint as an existing Sky Tykes® course, being built overtop. This gives our customers two attractions without requiring much additional square footage.
Our newly published catalog features a couple Adventure Tykes® design options and specifications, found starting on page 53.
Updated Designs: Adventure Trail unharnessed ropes course
Our Adventure Trail® unharnessed ropes courses are increasing in popularity and our updated catalog features some of the newest designs. Adventure Trail® was installed at multiple Great Wolf Lodge® resorts in 2024 including their newest locations in Webster, TX, and Naples, FL.
Our new net-play courses feature a variety of entrance ramps and towers, including a net elevator. Because Adventure Trail® is an unharnessed course, participants have the ability to move on and off course freely. RCI offers a variety of slide design options, including fun spiral slides. One Adventure Trail® course can have multiple entrance/exit points.
Indoor Climbing Walls: Clip ‘n Climb
The slate-grey walls commonly associated with indoor climbing tend to appeal to just the climbing community and might limit customers from reaching a wider audience. RCI is the North American distributor of Clip ‘n Climb climbing walls which offers a wide variety of engaging climbing experiences.
One of the benefits of Clip ‘n Climb climbing walls is that they’re designed in a variety of difficultly levels, appealing to experienced and novice climbers.
Clip ‘n Climb walls each have a dedicated auto-belay system, keeping participants safe while not requiring a dedicated spotter or staff member. One staff member can monitor multiple walls and participants at once.
What is a human maze?
Every fall corn mazes pop up all across the Midwest. These temporary attractions challenge participants of all ages. Similar to corn mazes, RCI Adventure Products offers Amaze’n Mazes™, a permanent human maze attraction.
Amaze’n Mazes™ is a great outdoor attraction that requires minimal staffing. Parents love this human maze as it keeps kids confined to a central area and gives them the ability to monitor their progress from an overlook.
Amaze’n Mazes™ durable construction means it require minimal maintenance and can be a year-round attraction. RCI can custom design a maze, specific to your available footprint. A 5,200 sq. ft. human maze can accommodate up to 700 participants per hour.
