Pecan Lake ropes course opened in Winter 2024

Features a 3-level Sky Trail adventure course and zip-line attraction

QUEEN CREEK, AZ – Pecan Lake Entertainment in Queen Creek, AZ, located southeast of Phoenix, officially opened in January and features a 3-level Sky Trail® ropes course with a 4-rail Sky Tour® zip-rail attraction.

RCI Adventure Products designed and manufactured this custom ropes course and finished installation in December 2023. After a period of training and inspection, Pecan Lake was able to officially open the course on Jan. 31.

“Just visually, this course is amazing,” said Zack Loeprich, marketing manager for RCI Adventure Products. “You see it and you want to experience it. It has that ‘wow’ factor and we’re so excited for what this course will do for Pecan Lake.”

Branded the Skytime Rope Course by Pecan Lake, the attraction is really three courses in one. First, the Sky Trail® course features 55 obstacles including the popular, but challenging, rolling log. The course also features a 180-degree Sky Rail® zip line, a roller rail, walk-the-plank and QuickFlight, a 40-foot free-fall while secured to an auto belay device. 

For the littlest adventure seekers, Pecan Lake Entertainment also includes our Sky Tykes® course, meant for kids 48-inches and shorter. This pint-sized course features elements similar to the Sky Trail®, but is built low to the ground, allowing parents to stand nearby for support. The course also features two 20-foot Sky Rails®. 

Finally, attached to the Sky Trail® ropes course is our Sky Tour® zip-rail adventure. This attraction features four curved rails, each over 120-feet in length. The Sky Tour® gives course participants a fun, exhilarating ride 30-feet up in the air. The attraction is integrated seamlessly with the Sky Trail®, meaning participants can move from one attraction to the other without exiting the course and needing additional equipment.

“One of our goals is created family-focused adventure attractions,” Loeprich said. “We’re not just looking for the adrenaline seekers. We want build attractions that have a multi-generational appeal and I think Pecan Lake Entertainment has done just that with their Skytime Ropes Course.”

Pecan Lake Entertainment also features an 18-hole mini-golf course, axe throwing, an arcade, VR experience, multiple themed escape rooms and karaoke booths. Construction is still ongoing for other attractions including a go-kart track and a water surfing park.

Pecan Lake is more than a family entertainment center. The venue includes a large botanical garden, a fishing lake, wedding venue and multiple restaurants. The location is ideal for hosting events as it features a large open space complete with seating, a stage and jumbo screen.
