HELPING MAKE IT THE BEST SUMMER EVER!
The idea of RCI Adventure Products was born in summer camps. Back in the 1980s, that’s where ropes courses tended to reside, at your favorite summer camp. Since our official inception, we’ve always tried to keep a close relationship with summer camps around the country and we were excited about this unique, suspended ropes course at the Spruce Lake Retreat in deep in the Pocono Mountains. The course itself is set over 20 feet above the gym floor and guests enter it from a mezzanine.

FEATURES OF THE SPRUCE LAKE RESORT
ZERO FLOORSPACE: RCI designers and engineers used Spruce Lake’s existing retreat center and tied the course’s framework into the building. The suspended course has no poles on the ground and entry to the course is from a mezzanine.
FUN FOR ALL AGES: Spurce Lake caters to a wide variety of groups and ages, so its attractions need to do the same. RCI builds its course with the entire family in mind, creating experiences that can appeal to novice adventurers or hardcore adrenaline seekers.
HIGH THROUGHPUT: One of the challenges of camps is creating an experience that can fit a lot of participants at one time. The Spruce Lake course can fit 20 campers at a time.
LOW STAFF REQUIREMENTS: RCI created and patented the continuous tracking system for ropes courses, allowing participants to move throughout the course without staff support, even bypassing slower guests on platforms.
HIGH SAFETY STANDARDS: Parents trust camps with their kids’ safety and camps trust RCI because of our safety record. Every attraction that we engineer is done so with patented integrated systems which increases the level of safety.
CUSTOM DESIGN: Every customer is different and so is their available footprint for a course. RCI was able to custom design a suspended ropes course for Spruce Lake, allowing them to take advantage of unused vertical spaces in their retreat center.
