Sky TOUR® – Modern zipline Excursion

Self-paced, point-to-point zipline experience

Sky Tour® is a modern take on the classic zipline experience. We took the cable-based zipline ride and upgraded it with our Sky Rail® technology. For our customers, this means seamlessly integrating a thrilling zipline experience into their Sky Trail® course utilizing the same harness and slingline. Participants on the Sky Trail® course can move from the ropes course to the zipline attraction without ever unclipping from the the safety tracking system or requiring any staff support.

Our customers love Sky Tour® because it not only gives them a new attraction to market and sell, but it requires minimal staffing. Classic zipline excursions require staff support with guests only getting a handful of rides. Sky Tour® utilizes a computer-controlled system that keeps participant traffic moving and safe. A red-light, green-light indicator system informs guests when it’s safe to proceed.

Guest experiencing the Sky Tour® love it as it gives them an entirely different experience versus the Sky Trail®. With rails commonly measuring over 100-feet in length, guests get a smooth, long zipline run. They can just sit back in their harness and enjoy the ride and the view!

Similar to our Sky Rail®, the Sky Tour® zip rails have multiple configuration options. Straight rails are certainly an option, but adding multiple curves to the rail not only extends the ride length, but also adds to the exhilaration factor. We can configure the rails with a variety of bends, not only adding to the rides enjoyment, but also working around obstacles. 

One of the benefits of Sky Tour® is that it doesn’t require customers to dedicate or have significant space available. The Sky Tour® rails, which are commonly 120-feet or more, can be interconnected with takeoff and receiving towers, some with relatively small footprints. Customers can take greater advantage of their property’s available space as the zip rails can traverse over water, parking lots, existing attractions, natural areas and buildings.

Zipline excursions are a popular family vacation adventure. Long ziplines through dense jungles, well above the forest floor, certainly makes for a thrilling outing. But these excursions are often slow paced, staff guided and expensive. After an hour, you might have only gone on 4-5 ziplines. Often times, these excursions are located in remote locations and require advanced planning and reservations.

RCI Adventure Products has created a modern-day zipline experience called Sky Tour®. This gives guests those long zipline rides, but allows them to move at their own pace and allow you to operate this new attraction with minimal staff. In a matter of 15 minutes, your guests could have experienced 10 thrilling zipline rides. No long waits! 

Sky TOUR® for the KiDS

ZIP RAIL ADVENTURE TO YOUR SKY TYKES® COURSE

Just like we took our Sky Trail® ropes course and shrunk it down for the kids, we can do the same with our Sky Tour®, giving our youngest adventurers and zip line experience of their very own. And just like a full-sized Sky Tour® course, we can customize this course to work with your available footprint. It can be a stand-alone attraction or an extension to your existing Sky Tykes® course.
