Galaxy Fun Park to open space walk Sky Trail®

Galaxy Fun Park Adds a Sky Trail

RALEIGH, NC – The brand new indoor recreation facility, Galaxy Fun Park, is set to open this Friday, Sept. 23, 2016. One of its most unique attractions is the space walk Sky Trail® Discovery and Sky Rail™ zip line. The Discovery ropes course stands 2 stories tall and has an 8 pole triangular design making efficient use of activity space underneath. The ropes course has 13 unique elements like the Charlie Chaplin and angled vertical rope ladders for participants to balance on and traverse through and stands amongst other attractions like a soft play zone, laser tag and trampolines.

“We saw the ropes course at the IAAPA Trade Show last year. The flexibility the Sky Trail® design has with the option to add more elements to the structure in the future is great for our facility,” said Galaxy’s co-owner Steve Fleming.

Galaxy Fun Park will be able to send 25 to 100 participants per hour through the space walk ropes course. When it comes to safety on the ropes course, participants won’t need to worry. The course has a patented, overhead tracking system, which the participants’ safety harness and redundant sling lines are hooked into. Participants never have to unhook their safety gear at each element throughout the entire experience including the zip line.

“The Sky Rail™ is one of our most popular experiences. Both young kids and adults will soar down the zip line over and over. It’s a huge adrenaline rush!” Ropes Courses sales manager, Marissa Ticknor, explained.

The new space themed family entertainment center will be a safe place for families to experience new galactic adventures. With green gone wild, bright yellow and blue island colors, the Sky Trail® attraction adds to the unique design in the indoor climate controlled Fun Park.

The Sky Trail® will cost $8 per adventure. For more information on Galaxy Fun Park visit their website www.galaxyfunpark.com.
