RCI to Debut New Products and Brand Identity at Upcoming IAAPA

RCI Adventure Products

Allegan, Mich. November 5, 2019 —  For the 16th year in a row, RCI Adventure Products, formerly known as Ropes Courses Incorporated (RCI), will be in attendance at the IAAPA Expo held in Orlando, Florida from November 19-22. During the four day long show, the newly refreshed adventure attractions leader will be stationed inside of booth 5730 with an entire crew of sales professionals and authorized distributors present to speak with attendees. Also, in line with past years, RCI will be showcasing a fully constructed Sky Trail® aerial attraction consisting of a few new elements along with an innovative multi-activity Clip ‘n Climb® configuration.

Already commonly referred to as ‘RCI’ for years, the major manufacturer of family-friendly attractions officially made the decision to move forward with the new name, RCI Adventure Products, to better reflect product expansion that has occurred in recent years. It is this growth and progress that ultimately elevated RCI beyond its often limiting ‘ropes courses’ persona.

“This company was founded 30 years ago with the name ‘Ropes Courses Incorporated’ but since then, we have grown tremendously and it felt like the right time to transition into a new era of ourselves,” comments Jim Liggett, president and founder of RCI. “The new name makes it clear that we offer more than just one product and it gives us the space we need to grow even more.”

The updated brand identity won’t be the only new development for RCI at this year’s IAAPA show as they will also be premiering two innovative products: Adventure Trail and the Destination series, a product line consisting of 3 distinct models. Adventure Trail is RCI’s first unharnessed netplay offering that features no participant weight or height requirement prior to entrance. All ages and abilities are encouraged to climb up Adventure Trail’s net ‘elevator’ and make their way, in whatever direction they’d like, through the interconnected bridges, towers and exit slides.

The Destination series, on the other hand, is made up of 3 large-scale individual entertainment hubs that each vary in their square footage and overall arrangement. Each model contains 5 core attractions for participants to interact with: a Sky Trail® with multiple Sky Rails™, Clip ‘n Climb® climbing activities, Adventure Trail netplay and a Sky Tykes®. These unique hands-on spaces were designed for businesses that market to a broad range of guests and witness high foot traffic.

“We are so proud to welcome both Adventure Trail and the Destination series to our product family as they each offer aspects not previously available through us,” says Jon Weston, chief sales officer for RCI. “These new additions further illustrate our evolvement as a company and we’re thrilled to be able to offer clients more expansive entertainment options.”

In booth 5730 attendees will be able to discuss ways that RCI attractions can fit in their space with RCI sales personnel, celebrate the brand launch with prize giveaways, and experience the fun first-hand. A full-scale Sky Trail® aerial attraction will be present as well as the new Clip ‘n Climb® ‘Delta’ that utilizes a triangular structure on top to stabilize 3 typically non-free standing activities with the flexibility to also have another challenge placed in the middle.
