Rock climbing gym walls
Clip ‘n Climb offers a fresh take on the world of traditional climbing. With a wide variety of themed walls, all ranging in difficulty level and each providing a different climbing experience, Clip ‘n Climb is an ideal solution for climbing gyms looking to attract a broader age range and market.
The slate-gray rock walls commonly associated with indoor climbing gyms tend to appeal to the more skilled and avid climbers. These walls tend to occupy a larger footprint, have a higher degree of difficulty and require a staff belayer. While those styles walls are still popular in the climbing world, Clip ‘n Climb walls help create a new generation of climbing enthusiast, slowing graduating them up from novice level.
Each Clip ‘n Climb wall is approximately 6-feet wide and accommodates 1 climber at a time. Because of this relatively narrow footprint, indoor climbing gyms are able to line up multiple walls side-by-side. This helps not only maximize floor space and climbing capacity, it appeals to the climbers as they have multiple challenges to choose from.
Clip ‘n Climb walls are designed to accommodate varying ceiling heights. Each individual climbing wall comes in 5 to 8 panels, with each panel measuring 4-feet in height, giving indoor climbing gyms an option from 20- to 32-foot walls.
Themed climbing walls
One of the advantages of the Clip ‘n Climb walls is the wide variety of themed options. Clip ‘n Climb walls help create a “wow” moment for guests entering the climbing gym. Their bright colors and various styles have an immediate visual appeal. Each wall is graded by difficulty, giving the indoor climbing gym the ability to gradually increase climbing difficulty from wall-to-wall, helping to provide a well-rounded guest experience.
Some of the more popular themed designs are Amazing, Big Cheese, Speed Climb, Detonator and Time Traveler. Each design gives the climber a different experience and may require different strategies. Pairing two Speed Climb walls side-by-side has been popular with other RCI customers, as climbers can test their skills against a clock and their friends.
Indoor ropes course at climbing gyms
Businesses are continually looking to add to and round out their attraction offerings to guests, helping to extend stay times, increase revenue streams and improve upon the overall guest experience. An indoor ropes course can be custom designed to meet the facility floorplan and help take full advantage of the space. A single level ropes course, for example, can be installed over gym equipment, arcade games, cafes and sitting areas.
One of the advantages of pairing a Sky Trail® ropes course with Clip ‘n Climb walls is that they utilize the same safety harness. A ropes course participant can get disconnected from the ropes course, move over to climbing wall, get clipped into the autobelay by staff, and immediately start climbing.
Outdoor climbing structures
In addition to indoor climbing walls, RCI Adventure Products offers outdoor climbing challenges including Twister, Astroball and Acendor. These walls can be combined together in our Delta Structure, giving you a high capacity climbing experience in a small footprint. Each wall can accommodate two climbers at once. Made from durable materials, the Delta Structures can withstand most outdoor environments. Like the indoor climbing walls, the Delta Structure is available in different heights, from 20-32 feet.
Industry-standard autobelay
Clip ‘n Climb utilizes the TRUBLUE autobelay and self-belay connectors, the most tested and trusted climbing wall safety equipment solution. Each Clip ‘n Climb wall will have a dedicated autobelay system. One of the benefits of a Clip ‘n Climb setup is the low labor costs, as one staff member can support multiple walls and guests at one time.
