Outdoor ropes course at summer camps

If RCI Adventure Products had its roots in an end market, it would be summer camps. Even prior to our formation in 1989, RCI founder Jim Liggett was building zip lines and ropes courses on the side while working full-time at camps here in Michigan. For many, summer camp was where they had their first ropes course and zip line experience. The timber-supported courses with cable zip lines served as the inspiration of our modern-day Sky Trail® ropes course and Sky Rail® zip lines.

We hope every kids has an opportunity to experience summer camp and RCI Adventure Products has worked closely with several camps across the country to help enhance the camping experience. Our outdoor Sky Trail® ropes course will challenge campers, provide an exhilarating experience, help bond campers and build teamwork among peers. Camp directors appreciate our Sky Trail® courses for their safety and durability. We design and build our courses to hold up in tough environmental conditions, we provide annual inspection services, staff training support and support camps with updated/expansion planning.

Sky Rail® is our modern-take on the tradition cable-based zip line. The Sky Rail® is a zip rail that integrates seamlessly into the Sky Trail® course, so participants can move from the course to the zip rail without requiring any additional gear and never unhooking from the course. Sky Rail® comes in multiple configurations including straight, curved and a 180-degree bend, helping to extend the ride length even in a small footprint. 

Indoor and outdoor climbing walls for camp

Summer camps don’t just call us for our ropes courses and zip lines. RCI also offer indoor and outdoor climbing walls. Our Clip ‘n Climb climbing walls are a high capacity climbing attraction available in a wide variety of themes and difficulty levels. For camps supporting a wide age range, we offer climbing walls to support a wide skill level. Clip ‘n Climb walls use the same harness as the Sky Trail® course, reducing the amount of additional safety equipment required. Clip ‘n Climb utilizes the TRUBLUE autobelay system, the most tested and trusted climbing wall safety equipment solution on the market. 

For an outdoor climbing solution, RCI offer the Delta Structure, a durable, multi-challenge configuration that can fit up to 7 climbers at a time.

Human mazes for summer camps

In response to requests for a high capacity attraction that requires little staffing, RCI Adventure Products offer Amaze’n Mazes, a giant human maze. A standard maze has a footprint of 4,800 sq. ft. and can accommodate 320 people at a time. Mazes can be customized to fit a customer’s available footprint.
